Life During the Real Depression

Apparently this is part of a virus and can be deleted.

This file is part of the Dister trojan virus also know as: Trojan.Win32.DiskMaster.e [Kaspersky], Nanif [McAfee], Win32.Dister.A [Computer Associates], BKDR_DISTER.A [Trend]

You should be able to delete the file: diskserv.exe found in the c:\windows directory or perhaps another system Directory.

You also need to delete the entry in your registry file. It will be under : HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

If you do not know what I mean by this you should get some one else to edit your registry file and delete this for you.

Whoever deletes this file is looking for:
Disk Master= diskserv.exe.

This key can be deleted.

You should also make sure to scan for viruses of course but most virus scan programs (ALL THAT I HAVE TRIED) do not find and delete this file. This will contiue to annoy you if you do not get rid of it since it will keep on trying to run and most likely give you an error.

Hope this helps.
