3. An FTP server ON YOUR LOCAL NETWORK or an email server ON YOUR LOCAL NETWORK.
4. Storage folders on your FTP server OR email accounts that can be reached by your server and that will receive the scanned
images.
5. An account assigned to the machine. The printer/scanner will need a login and password just like an email user
would need on your network. In many cases you may want to add this user and machine (the printer/scanner) to your domain although
this is not usually necessary.
6. Email account: The printer/scanner will need to be able to log in to your email server. You will need to make sure
that the ports (usually 25 and 110) are NOT blocked. Emailed scans will show up in recipients email software as having come
from the name of this account.
7. FTP accounts: You may want to make several FTP accounts on your FTP server, to automatically scan to various
folders. These logins need not be any more complicated than typical FTP logins.
